Delete your WakaBuddy account

1. Open WakaBuddy and go to Settings (the gear on the tab bar).
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is removed straight away and you are signed out on every device.

If you can't get into the app — a lost phone, a forgotten email address — write to support@wakabuddy.xyz from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my WakaBuddy account”. We delete it within 7 days and reply to confirm.

Everything tied to the account:

• Your profile — name, username, email address, avatar or photo, and preferences.
• All activity — daily steps, distance, calories, active minutes, water, and every recorded walk and its route.
• Weight, height and calorie settings, if you entered them.
• Friendships, group and challenge memberships, Fines Jar tallies and league records.
• Messages you sent, reactions, and your conversations with the coach.
• Push notification tokens and connected-device records.

Messages you sent disappear from every conversation they were in, for everyone.

A group or challenge you ran on your own is handed to the member who joined it first, so the others can carry on. One with nobody else in it is deleted.

You don't have to close the account to remove parts of it. In the app:

• Weight and height — Settings → Profile → Weight or Height, delete the number and save.
• What the coach remembers — open the coach, tap the book icon, and forget any note or all of them.
• A message — long-press it → Delete, for you or for everyone.
• A connected watch or band — Settings → Sync a watch or band → Disconnect; its records go with it.
• Friends, groups, challenges — remove a friend, leave a group or challenge, and the records between you are removed.

For anything else — a stretch of activity history, a recorded walk — email support@wakabuddy.xyz from the account's address saying what to remove; we do it within 7 days and confirm.

• Backups. Encrypted database backups may hold a copy for up to 30 days before they expire. Nothing is restored from them.
• Purchase records. If you subscribed to Plus, Google Play keeps the purchase record under your Google account — that is theirs, not ours. Cancel the subscription in Google Play; deleting the account does not cancel it for you. We keep the store's record of each payment (date, plan, price, country and the store's order number) for our accounts, without your name or email address.
• Reports you made. If you reported someone after an open walk, the report stays, without your name, so what other hosts are told about that person stays accurate.
• Our own records. If you asked us by email, we keep a note that we deleted the account, with its email address. Records of anything our team did on the account, such as a suspension, stay in our admin log without a link to you.
• Your username. Nobody else can take it for 30 days, so links you shared don't lead to a stranger. After that it's free again.
